1. Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg or PewDiePie – 105M

Swedish Let’s Player and web comedian PewDiePie is the most-subscribed individual user on YouTube, with 105 million subscribers as of April 2020. He’s also a philanthropist. 

In 2010, his channel experienced substantial growth in popularity and over the next two years he reached 1 million subscribers in July 2012. Over the years, his style of content diversified to include vlogs, comedy shorts, formatted shows, and music videos.

Later, PewDiePie became the most-subscribed YouTuber on 15 August 2013. After being briefly overtaken in late 2013 by YouTube Spotlight, he continued to firmly hold the title until early 2019, when he publicly competed for it with Indian record label T-Series. Many YouTubers showed their support for PewDiePie, including Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, MrBeast and Logan Paul. Kjellberg’s channel remains as the second-most-subscribed after receiving over 105 million subscribers, as of June 2020. 

From 29 December 2014 to 14 February 2017, Kjellberg garnered the most-viewed channel on YouTube. Both his channel’s subscriber and view counts rank as the most for those operated by an individual.

2. Konrad Cunha Danta or Canal KondZilla – 58M

Brazilian screenwriter and director, Konrad Dantas is better known by the stage name KondZilla. He owns KondZilla Records, which is a music video production company and record label often credited for being the main popularizer of funk ostentação.

He currently owns the largest YouTube channel in Brazil and Latin America, and the second largest music channel in the world, with more than 53 million subscribers and over 26 billion views. In addition to his music videos, he is also the creator and director of the Netflix drama Sintonia.

Among the artists who have worked with KondZilla are funk, rock bands and rap artists such as: MC Guimê, DJ Marlboro, Mr. Catra, Charlie Brown Jr., Karol Conka, Racionais MC’s, and Aloe Blacc.

3. Dude Perfect – 51.3M 

Dude Perfect is the second most subscribed sports channel on YouTube and the 12th most subscribed channel overall.

Their channel is a multinational sports entertainment conglomerate from Frisco, Texas, United States. The group consists of twins Cory and Coby Cotton, Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones, and Tyler Toney, all of whom regularly upload videos and are former college roommates. 

They became one of the most famous YouTubers by creating content that consists primarily of videos depicting various trick shots and stunts cut together with upbeat music mixed in. The “dudes” also consistently upload videos of “battles,” where each member of Dude Perfect compete against one another in a good-natured game or contest usually featuring creative elements and their takes on different sports with their own rules.

4. German Garmendia or JuegaGerman – 39.8M

1990 born Germán Alejandro Garmendia Aranis is better known online as JuegaGerman, or HolaSoyGerman. His first ever video was uploaded on the channel on June 20, 2013 where he played Slender. Since then he has now gained almost 40 million subscribers giving him the title of being one of the most famous YouTubers.

5. Whindersson Nunes Batista or whinderssonnunes – 39.6M

YouTuber Whindersson Nunes Batista is a comedian and singer known for his comedy videos since 2013. In October 2016, the Brazilian’s YouTube channel whinderssonnunes became the most subscribed in his country, but it was eventually overtaken by Canal KondZilla in February 2018.

6. Felipe Neto – 38.2M

Portuguese-Brazilian manager, vlogger, actor, comedy actor, and writer, Felipe is the founder of Paramaker. He owns a business of network inside of YouTube, which owns channels like Parafernalha, IGN Brasil Network, managing approximately 5 thousand channels, as an effort to professionalize the online video market in Brazil.

Also as one of the most famous YouTubers, he has more than 37 million subscribers making his channel the 26th most-subscribed on the website. He started his YouTuber career by talking about celebrities, movies, daily activities in some criticizing or comic way, being the first YouTube channel to reach 1 million subscribers in Brazil. He is also the brother of Luccas Neto, the 43rd most-subscribed channel on YouTube. Currently, his videos focus on general entertainment. He sold the company in 2015 to focus on his YouTube channel.

7. Ruben Doblas Gundersen or elrubiusOMG – 37.8M

30 year old Rubén Doblas Gundersen better known online as elrubiusOMG, elrubius, or Rubius, is a Spanish YouTuber that makes gameplays, skits and vlogs. 

He is currently the second most subscribed Spanish speaking YouTuber behind HolaSoyGerman, but he is still the most subscribed YouTuber from Spain today.

Elrubius currently has over 37.8 million subscribers on his main channel, and is the 18th most subscribed YouTube channel of all time overall, peaking at fourth from September 5 to October 11 of 2017, which was his highest rank on YouTube overall.

ElrubiusOMG received YouTube’s diamond play button for reaching 10 million subscribers, being the first YouTuber from Spain to receive it. 

In 2016, he was named “YouTuber of the Year” at the first Play Awards Ceremony celebrated in his Native country of Spain.

8. Luis Alvarado or Fernanfloo – 36.3M

Next up on our list of some of the most famous YouTubers is 26 year old Luis Fernando Flores Alvarado better known online as “Fernanfloo”. 

The Salvadoran focuses on making gaming videos, vlogs and occasionally comedic sketches which at times are animated. Since 2014, his channel is among one of the fastest growing on YouTube, making him the 6th most popular YouTuber in the world due to his loyal fanbase praising him throughout the internet.

Between July to November 2017, he peaked as the 6th most popular YouTuber, only behind PewDiePie, 5-Minute Crafts, HolaSoyGerman., whinderssonnunes and elrubiusOMG. 

Luis’ Fernanfloo channel is currently the most subscribed gaming YouTube channel. As of now, Fernanfloo is the 23th most subscribed YouTube channel , having over 36.3 million subscribers and 7 billion video views.

9. Samuel de Luque or VEGETTA777 – 30.1M

31 year old Samuel de Luque is next on our list. The Spanish YouTuber is better known online as VEGETTA777 for uploading gameplays of Minecraft, Battlefield, Saints Row, Garry’s Mod, and several other games. He is different from other YouTubers because of the style of narrative and way of creating histories from videos for trying to make them “muy peliculero” like a movie.

His fan base is based not only in Spain, but most of them are from Latin América, making him one of the most viewed and subscribed channels in some of these countries. Currently, he is the second most subscribed channel in Spain, just behind elrubiusOMG, with more than 30 million subscribers, and also currently has 12.4 billion video views.

10. Markiplier – 25.9M

American YouTuber Mark Edward Fischbach or Markiplier is a gamer-commentator, actor, and comedian. Now one of the most famous YouTubers, he was originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. He is currently based in Los Angeles, California. 

Most of the time he uploads playthroughs of various video games, most notably horror games, such as Neverending Nightmares, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SCP – Containment Breach, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. His full-toned voice, in-depth style of gameplay, commentary, and multiple charitable acts have spanned a highly successful YouTube career. As of February 2020, his channel is the 81st most subscribed on YouTube.

As of June 2020, his channel has over 12 billion total video views and over 25.5 million subscribers. Although Fischbach’s most famous for his Let’s Play videos, many don’t know he is also the founder of the clothing company CLOAK (along with jacksepticeye). 

11. Evan Fong or VanossGaming – 25.1M

28 year old Evan Fong is the Canadian YouTuber better known online as VanossGaming. He is also a video game commentator and has often been compared to fellow gaming YouTuber PewDiePie, who also has the most subscribed non-company channel on the site. They both have a similar style of gaming. Occasionally, The Canadian also uploads an animation based on an original sketch or a previously uploaded gaming video.  

Vanoss’ channel logo consists of an owl head; which is a mask of his in-game character for many of the games he plays, including Garry’s Mod and Grand Theft Auto V.

He usually does not show his face, unless it is for an important occasion. The first time Vanoss showed his face was for his one million subscriber special in 2013, with the second being in 2014, when he took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (in which he poured a mixture of iced tea, Smirnoff ice, ice cream and so on instead of water). 

He reached his peak in 2014, when he gained 6.6 million subscribers in one year alone, at one point gaining a million subscribers a month, more than any other channel except PewDiePie. During that year, he would occasionally gain more subscribers than any other YouTube channel. From January 2015 to January 2016, he was the second most subscribed gaming channel behind PewDiePie, but since dropped to seventh behind him, elrubiusOMG, Fernanfloo, JuegaGerman, VEGETTA777, and Markiplier. 

12. Andrew Hecox and Daniel Padilla or Smosh  – 25.1M

American sketch comedy, Smosh is a YouTube channel founded by two 32 year olds Ian Andrew Hecox (born: November 30, 1987) and Daniel Anthony Padilla (born: September 16, 1987)

The duo from 2006 to 2014, would occasionally add actors to their videos but in 2015, they permanently added actors in their videos. On June 14, 2017, Anthony left Smosh to pursue his solo YouTube channel due to a “lack of creative freedom”. 

Smosh is currently acquired by Mythical Entertainment, a company, and network owned by Rhett and Link, the co-hosts of Good Mythical Morning.

13. Mariand Castrejon Castaneda or Yuya – 24.5M

27 year old Mariand Castrejon Castañeda is a Mexican YouTuber, specifically from Cuernavaca, who does makeup videos and blogs which often document her life. 

Most commonly known as Yuya (formerly as Lady16Makeup) by the general public, she currently has the 92nd most subscribed channel on the site, with over 24 million subscribers, is currently the 11th most subscribed YouTuber on the site, the most subscribed YouTuber from Mexico, and the most subscribed female YouTuber, passing Jenna Marbles.

14. JackSepticEye – 24.1M

Irish YouTuber Seán William McLoughlin is one of the most famous YouTubers known as jacksepticeye (or just Jack). He is also a video game commentator, occasional vlogger, voice actor, and founder of the clothes company CLOAK (along with Markiplier who is his good friend). 

Known for his energy, distinct accent, loud commentary and sometimes gentle nature he gained popularity for his former signature green hair (which he dyed for charity alongside Markiplier). His channel is the 83rd most subscribed channel on YouTube, and also the most subscribed channel in Ireland.

15. Shane Dawson- 23.3M

31 year old YouTube veteran Shane Lee Yaw better known online as Shane Dawson, is an actor, writer, producer, author, and YouTuber. It comes as no shock that has also earned the spot of Mr. YouTube a few years ago. 

He was originally known for his multiple characters played by himself. He would dress up as Shanaynay (his most-popular and most iconic personalities), Ned the Nerd, Fruitlupe, Paris Hilton, S. Deezy, Shane’s Mom (not his real mother), the superhuman Switch, and Aunt Hilda.

16. Lilly Singh aka Superwoman -15M 

Representing both India and Canada, Lilly Singh formerly known online as IISuperwomanII, is a YouTube personality, stand-up comedian, rapper, motivational speaker, singer and author. Born in Scarborough, Canada she has received YouTube’s Silver, Gold and Diamond play buttons. Her Indian parents named Malwinder Kaur and Sukhwinder Singh moved the family to Toronto where Lilly lived with her parents until December 2015. She later moved to Los Angeles. She currently lives in a house by herself in the greater LA area.

Since September 2019, she has been the host and executive producer of the NBC late-night talk show A Little Late with Lilly Singh.

The host has worked with many celebrities such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Legend, Amber Rose, Madhuri Dixit, Jay Sean, Will Smith and Stephanie McMahon.
